Sponsored by: Councilwoman Judy Montero, Create Denver-Denver Arts & Venues, RTD, GES LiveWell, Focus Points Resource Center.

Birdseed Collective completed 5 bus benches & a school bus shelter each with hand-painted designs

Why: Through inspired partnership and grant support from Denver Arts & Venues’ P.S. You Are Here initiative, Birdseed Collective collaborated with RTD, Focus Points Resource Center, GES Livewell, Denver Public Works, Councilwoman Montero and community residents to identify six bus stops near the Bruce Randolph School, Swansea Elementary and Garden Place Elementary, and to beautify these bus benches. A Ribbon Cutting  Event on April 28, 2015, celebrated the completion of the GES Bruce Randolph School Backstop and Bus Bench Art Project.

Check out the other bus stops at 47th & Columbine-north & south sides, 47th & Washington, 45th & Broadway, and 48th & Lincoln.  Each bus bench was installed and hand-painted by Lead Artist Anthony Garcia Sr., & youth volunteers.  Each one is unique in style,
